Switzerland Look to Pick up Form Ahead of UEFA EURO 2024
Yakin's Team Aiming to Regain Consistency
After a disappointing EURO 2024 qualifying campaign, Switzerland coach Murat Yakin will be hoping his team can regain their form ahead of the tournament this summer.
Testing Times for Swiss
Switzerland topped Group F in qualifying after winning five of their eight games, but they were also held to surprising draws by Georgia and Cyprus, and lost to Italy in their final match.
Those results have raised concerns about the team's consistency, and Yakin will be keen to see an improvement in their performances in the upcoming friendlies against Belgium and England.
Experienced Team
Switzerland have a number of experienced players in their squad, including goalkeeper Yann Sommer, defender Nico Elvedi and midfielder Granit Xhaka.
They also have some exciting young talents, such as Borussia Dortmund winger Noah Okafor and RB Leipzig forward Brian Brobbey.
Yakin's Aim
Yakin will be hoping to use the upcoming friendlies to find his best team and get them playing the way he wants.
He is a demanding coach and will not be happy until Switzerland are playing to their full potential.
